The Skyride to Paradise Point in St Thomas is conveniently located near the Havensight pier on the Charlotte Amalie side of the island. We could see the entrance from our veranda. After getting off the boat, we walked across the road and out of the port in about five minutes. It’s so easy to get lost – you don’t even need to pay for transport to get there.
If your boat is docked at the Havensight pier, you won’t need to pay for transportation to get there. However, if you’re docking at Crown Bay, which is three miles from Charlotte Amalie on the opposite side of the island, you’ll need to hire a taxi to get to the cable car there. – Barbados Places

One of St. Thomas’ finest and most untouched beaches, Lindquist Beach is part of a 21-acre protected area known as Smith Bay Park. Secret Harbour is like a slice of paradise. I stayed with my wife for 9 nights. We booked a romance package and stayed in a condo on the beach side. The sand was white and the water was crystal clear. The water was calm all the time. One night there was a lot of seaweed on the shore. The beach staff cleaned it up in 2 hours.
We snorkeled over in St Johns but in Secret Harbor Bay we saw more wildlife than the 2 bays we visited on St John. We saw 6 sea turtles, one barracuda and starfish, one Squid, one lobster, one Sting Ray, and countless saltwater fish! The cleaning staff was very good and the unit itself was clean and very pleasant. 59. Charlotte Amalie
Charlotte Amalie is an island city and cruise port on St. Thomas, a Caribbean island in the United States Virgin Islands. Charlotte Amalie is the island’s capital. The city’s Danish colonial architecture features Blackbeard’s Castle, a watchtower built in the 16th century.
The watchtower has 99 steps to the top, where visitors can enjoy panoramic vistas. Fort Christian, built in the 17th century, is a museum of art and history. To the east of Charlotte Amalie lies Paradise Point, which is accessed by Skyride’s aerial tram. – Barbados Places
60. Saint Philip,
Saint Philip Parish is one of Barbados’ 11 parishes. It is located in the easternmost part of the island and has the highest land area of all Barbados parishes. The land area of St. Philip Parish is relatively flat with the terrain being close to sea level. 61. Sunbury Plantation Great House
The house dates back to 1660 and was built by Matthew Chapman one of the island’s first settlers. He was a distant relative of the Earl of Carlisle. Through this connection, he was granted lands on the island of Barbados. Over 300 years of history can be found in the house’s mahogany furnishings, antique prints, and porcelain figurines, as well as a collection of horse-drawn carriages.
The house was originally known as Chapman’s Plantation, later known as Branker’s Plantation, during the time of the Barrow brothers. It was later known as Brothers Plantation, after the brothers’ home in the UK. This is the only large house in Barbados where all rooms are available for viewing. – Barbados Places
62. Bottom Bay
Bottom Bay, Barbados is a remote cove with a beautiful beach, partially bordered by jagged cliffs. If you are looking for that ‘desert island’ feel, then this is the place for you. Coconut palms swing in the gentle breeze, soaring cliffs and fascinating caves beckon, shimmering, turquoise waves laze on the seashore, and wide stretches of powdery golden white sand – a tropical paradise!
There are car parking facilities at the top of the cliff at Bottom Bay, Barbados, but you will need a reasonably able-bodied person to make it down the steps to the beach.

63. Three Houses Park
Three Houses Park is nestled in the hills with stunning views of Barbados’ south-eastern coastline. It’s a popular picnic spot on the weekends and public holidays, but it’s much quieter on weekdays. There are picnic benches scattered throughout the park, and the trees provide shade.
It’s easy to see why Three Houses Park is a must-stop on your tour of Barbados. The park’s location offers stunning views of the coast, and children will love playing on the playground with its slides and swings. 64. Skeetes Bay

65. Bushy Park Barbados
Since its redevelopment in August 2013, Bushy Park has grown from a dirt track to a comprehensive multi-purpose motor sport facility. The Barbados circuit is the most extensive of its kind in the English-speaking Caribbean and has hosted international events such as the Top Gear Festival, Race of Champions, and our own Festival of Speed.
The Barbados circuit has developed to 2.01 km of International Circuit, up to FIA grade 3 standards, and 1.2 km of CIK which has been developed to FIA Grade A standards. Work on the circuit began three years ago after extensive planning and consultation. – Barbados Places
66. Marizayra Sanctuary Barbados
It was an amazing experience. A great place to bring your family, especially the kids. The host is very friendly and knowledgeable about each animal you see. I will come back and be more comfortable with the few animals you are allowed to hold and pet. I was afraid of most of them, especially the snake. – Barbados Places
67. Bushy Park
Bushy Park Circuit is a motor racing circuit located on the island of Barbados, St. Philip. The circuit has two courses: 2.012 km on the FIA Grade 4 circuit and 1.2km on the CIK Class 1 circuit. The circuit was first constructed in 1971 by workers from sugar cane plantations as a circuit of 1.3km. It remained a hub of racing in Barbados for the next 30 years. However, by the mid-2000s, the circuit was in a state of disrepair.
A local rally driver, Ralph Williams, convinced the FIA and the governing body Apex Circuit Design to support the circuit’s redevelopment. This was made possible by large crowds attending local touring car events which delegates decided to attend. In 2013, the restoration of Bushy Park began on what had been grandly described as the “center of racing” in Barbados. – Barbados Places
68. Crane Beach
Crane Beach, which used to be a seaport, is one of the most stunning beaches on the island. It was named “one of the top ten beaches in the world” by lifestyle magazine Lifestyles. Crane Beach is also a great place for boogie boarding, as the waves are very strong.
Since 1867, Crane Beach has been a popular spot for honeymooners, and the Crane Resort and Residences, perched atop the cliff overlooking the beach, is no exception. The view from Crane Beach is worth a visit! – Barbados Places
69. Harrismith
Located on the southeastern coast of the island, just a short stroll from the more popular Lower Bay, Harrismith Beach isn’t as expansive as other popular beaches on the island, but it does have a shallow lagoon surrounded by a reef, making it perfect for a dip.
There are no lifeguards at this beach. A set of old stone steps lead down from a clifftop overlooking an old plantation house, which can be explored from the outside. – Barbados Places

71. Barbados Wildlife Reserve
Barbados Wildlife Reserve Located in Saint Peter Parish, Barbados, the Barbados Wildlife Reserve takes up 4 acres of Mahogany forest at the foot of Farley Hill. The reserve is located next to Grenadines Signal Station and Forest and was founded by Jean Baulu, a Canadian primatologist, and his wife Suzanne. – Barbados Places
72. Animal Flower Cave
Animal Flower Cave is the only accessible sea cave on the island of Barbados. Located under the cliffs of North Point, Barbados, Animal Flower Cave was discovered by English explorers in 1780. The cave has a seaward entrance and is six feet above its high water mark. This is because Barbados is increasing at a rate of 1 inch per year.
Coral steps lead down through a former blowhole in the roof of the cave. These steps were constructed in 1912. Inside the cave, you can still find some sea Anemones, locally known as animal flowers, which gave the cave its name. – Barbados Places

Farley Hill is a picturesque mansion in ruins, nestled in a forest of majestic mahogany trees on a hill with panoramic views of the rugged Atlantic coast. It’s the perfect place for a picnic, a nature retreat, a quiet chat under a shade tree and just taking in the view of the sea. 74. Welchman Hall Gully
Hall Gully is located in the Parish of St.Thomas and is a 3-quarter mile-long natural gully. The gully is home to many tropical plants and trees such as nutmeg, bamboo clove, and palm trees. The first thing that strikes you is the enchantment of the gully. It has a tropical forest feel and is a mix of native and exotic plants.
The tour takes place on a self-guided walking path that is well-maintained and shaded. You have the option to step off the path and explore bamboo groves, and interesting cave formations and see the monkeys play.
Even more impressive is the fact that the gully was formed by collapsed roofs of caves. It is inextricably linked to the adjacent Harrison’s Throughout the gully you will find evidence of the same type of stalactite and stalagmite found in Harrison’s. – Barbados Places
75. Flower Forest
The Flower Forest Botanical Gardens, located near Bloomsbury in Saint Joseph, Barbados, is a botanical park and tourist attraction. It is a picturesque garden park with beautiful tropical plants and trees. Situated on a 50-acre plot of land measuring 200,000 m2, Richmond Plantation was originally a sugar plantation.
In the 1980s, it was redeveloped into a botanical and tourist attraction by Don Hill of the Barbados Telephone Company, Will Huey of the RSPCA, Bertie Graham of Paredos, Richard Coghlan of Sandy Lane Hotel grounds and Trevena Gardens, and Peter Gilkes of Printers. – Barbados Places
