The Family of Man is a renowned photographic exhibition that was created in 1955 for the Museum of Modern Art in New York. It was intended to be a statement of peace through humanist photography from the post-war era. The exhibition features 503 photographs from 273 different artists, including Robert Capa, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Wayne Miller, and Dorothea Lange.
The exhibition is staged in a modern and grand manner. After an international tour and worldwide success, it is now on permanent display in the part of Clervaux Castle that is part of UNESCO’s World Documentary Heritage. It also displays items from his life and career, particularly those related to his time at the DTC and those of his fellow soldiers who were trained there.
